Car-maker, General Motors, has decided to recall more than 461,000 vehicles over transmission issues, according to reports by news organisations quoting National Highway Traffic Safety Administration on Wednesday.

The recall involves some models of 2020-2022 Chevrolet Silverado, GMC Sierra, 2021 Cadillac Escalade, Chevrolet Tahoe and GMC Yukon, among others. According to the description of the fault that is in ned to be fixed, the transmission control valve may fail causing the rear wheels to lock up, which would risk a crash. To fix the issue, dealers will install a new transmission control module software free of charge.
