The Gaza ceasefire talks have resumed in Qatar after over 40,000 reported killed and large number of people injured and displaced in the war between Israel and Palestine. The talks are taking place in Doha, the capital of Qatar. In the last few days, there has been a lot of international pressure, including that from the US upon Israel to resume the Gaza ceasefire talks and de-escalate the Middle-East tension.
The U.S. had deployed its warships, submarines and warplanes in the region to defend Israel and deter potential attackers. Israeli delegation includes spy chief David Barnea. U.S. CIA Director Bill Burns and U.S. Middle East envoy Brett McGurk represent Washington. Qatar Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani is the host of the talks; while Egypt's intelligence chief Abbas Kamel too is in Doha.
