France on Friday got its new Prime Minister after President Emmanuel Macron picked up close ally Francois Bayrou as his fourth prime minister of 2024. But the new Prime Minister faces a big challenge ahead to get support of the parliament where voices of opposition have already started pouring with Socialist Party refusing to join his coalition government, according to news reports.
Bayrou’s predecessor Michel Barnier, had been voted out of power by the parliament just last week when the nation was basking in medieval day’s glory with the reopening of famous Notre-Dame cathedral in Paris. As France goes through political uncertainty that threatens to impact its economy as well, European Union’s another big economy, Germany, too is in a political turmoil and is all set to go for election for a Chancellor in February next year. The two big economies of the European Union are going through tough days at a very crucial juncture when the U.S. undergoes a power-change and China wants to increase its economic territory in a possible trade war with the U.S.
