Foreign Ministers of Turkey, Russia and Iran were scheduled to meet in Doha on Saturday to try to find a solution to the renewed civil war in Syria.
According to news reports, Moscow and Tehran have offered military support to help Syrian President Bashar al-Assad crush the opposition.
The Syrian rebels have already captured Hama and Aleppo cities by Thursday and were making rapid progress towards Damascus, another important city of Syria. Syria is passing through a civil war for the last 13 years, which has erupted intensely now again. The Syrian opposition has evolved since the beginning of the Syrian conflict, calling for the overthrow of Assad government. Turkey, Iran and Russia too are either direct or indirect players in the Syria, for different interests. Turkey shares a 560-mile border with Syria and hosts nearly three million Syrian refugees.
