After the death of Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar, nations are pressing Israel to de-escalate the war with Hamas-Hezbollah and go for ceasefire. While U.S. too supposedly is working on this line, European Union has clearly taken this stand on Saturday with European Union's foreign policy chief Josep Borrell stating that the death of Sinwar could increase the chances of achieving ceasefire by Israeli forces.

"After the killing of Sinwar, a new perspective is open and we have to use it to reach a ceasefire, a release the remaining hostages and to look for a political perspective," Borrell has been quoted as stating, by news organisations.

Nations think that now that Israel has eliminated its principal enemy who was the mastermind behind October 7, 2023 attack on Israel that killed 1200 Israelites, Israel should stop.
