European Union Foreign Policy Chief Josep Borrell said on Monday that the E.U. has so far supplied well over 980,000 shells to Ukraine for use in war against Ukraine and the supply by the end of the year will touch one million, news organisations have reported.

"I know that we made a commitment to reach this level by spring – and we failed. But we can do it by the end of the year," Borrell was quoted as saying to the European media.

Ukraine has been receiving weapon support from NATO allies against Russia as NATO nations want to restrict Russian aggression in Europe. It has also been receiving weapons and other support from the U.S. Britain and Russia have reaffirmed their support to Ukraine.
