The European Union has adopted a list of fresh sanctions against Russia over its war against Ukraine. The exhaustive list, apart from many other things, included Chinese persons and vessels that supply electronic and other goods to Russia.
The list of sanctions also contains companies that are supporting Russia's military and industrial complex in its war against Ukraine.
The new sanctions probably are the final set of non-military weapons of the European Union directed against Russia, aiming at Russian’s economic backbone. Russia had already been kept on sanctions by the EU and the NATO countries, including the United States.
Meanwhile, Russian President Vladimir Putin has on Monday said that the West has pushed Russia to its “red lines” where it would be forced to respond. He said a large number of men are signing up for the Russian military voluntarily to fight the Ukraine war.
