China sponsors reconciliation between Palestinian factions

While Israel Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu visits the US and addresses leaders there, Palestinian factions Hamas and Fatah agreed in Beijing on July 24 to come together and form government after the war with Israel. The two groups have been in conflict with one another. China is sponsoring the reconciliations between the two Palestinian factions. Hamas has ruled Gaza Strips for 17 years, and Fatah is the main force in the US backed Palestinian authority that administers parts of West Bank.
