China has decided to impose sanctions on 13 US military firms over the issue of selling U.S. arms to Taiwan, news organisations reported on Thursday.

United States had reportedly authorized sales of $ 385 million spare parts and support for F-16 jets and radars to Taiwan, a country that China calls part of its own territory while Taiwan maintains itself as a sovereign nation. The U.S. provides arms and protection to Taiwan, which, China claims, undermines its national security.

Companies targeted by the sanctions include Teledyne Brown Engineering Inc, BRINC Drones Inc and Shield AI Inc, Rapid Flight LLC, Red Six Solutions, SYNEXXUS Inc, Firestorm Labs Inc, Kratos Unmanned Aerial Systems Inc, HavocAI, Neros Technologies, Cyberlux Corporation, Domo Tactical Communications and Group W, as reported by global news agency Reuters.
