China Calls upon Universities to Offer ‘Love Education’ Courses

China has called upon its universities to provide ‘love education’ to its young citizens, according to reports of news organisations. The call reportedly is aimed at creating a positive attitude towards love, marriage, family and children, which China sees as important after the once-most-populace nation has been witnessing a downslide in childbirth over the years.

News organisations, citing China Population News reports, said that college students will be the beneficiaries of proposed ‘love education’ by the varsities. "Colleges and universities should assume the responsibility of providing marriage and love education to college students by offering marriage and love education courses," a publication of China Population News said, as reported by news organisations.
