As the EU remain divided over a proposal to impose tariff upto 45% on Chinese EVs, China on Friday urged the EU to delay implementing the tariff and avoid escalate trade conflict, news organisations reported. Quoting Chinese media reports, news organisations said that China's Chamber of Commerce expressed strong dissatisfaction with the EU for promoting "trade protectionism" measures.

EU countries like Germany are particularly worried about the tariff as the move will unnecessarily bring about a trade conflict with China, because German car-makers have a huge market in China.
