A U.S. and France brokered Israel-Hezbollah ceasefire came into effect on Wednesday morning, ending the long and violent conflict between the Iran-backed armed group in Lebanon and Israel.

News reports said that Lebanon army has asked the residents of border villages to go back to their places once the Israeli army retreats. Waging a ground war with Hezbollah, the Israeli army had moved about four miles into Lebanon. Civilians will start moving back to their villages once the Israeli army withdraws.

Over the days, the Israeli army killed thousands of Hezbollah men in different strikes. Hezbollah chief Hassan Nasrallah too had been eliminated by the Israeli army.

Israel has been fighting the Hamas in Gaza, where an equally miserably humanitarian situation has been created by the conflict. This conflict, however, is still to go for ceasefire.
