Buy More or Face Tariff: Trump to E.U.

U.S. President-elect Donald Trump has wanted of the European Union to buy more oil and gas, or face bigger tariff, according to reports by news organisations.

Trump has said that the U.S. wants the EU to level its trade deficit with the United States or face the tariff. The EU, however, is already a very big consumer of U.S. energy. A post by Trump on Truth Social said: "I told the European Union that they must make up their tremendous deficit with the United States by the large-scale purchase of our oil and gas." "Otherwise, it is TARIFFS all the way!!!".

E.U. is a natural ally of the U.S. and most European Union nations are part of the NATO, which usually is directed against Russia and its allies like China, Iran and North Korea. However, Trump promise to Make America Great Again, and America First, appears to be driving the U.S. President-elect even before he enters office.
