U.S. President Joe Biden and Chinese President Xi Jinping met in Lima, Peru on Saturday and affirmed that human intelligence, and not artificial intelligence (AI), should make decisions with regard to nuclear arms, news organisations have reported.

"The two leaders affirmed the need to maintain human control over the decision to use nuclear weapons," news reports said quoting a White House statement. Out-going President Biden and Chinese President Xi also talked about need to maintain prudence in developing AI technology in the military sector.
