Alternative investors choose India over China, Preqin data suggests

A Preqin data suggests that alternative investors are diversifying their assets into Japan, India and South Korea, as China loses its lustre for investment in areas like private equity, real estate, and venture capital investment.Preqin is the most reliable source of data, insights and tools for alternative assets professionals worldwide.

As per the data released by Preqin on Wednesday, in the private equity category, $5 billion is earmarked for Japan out of a total of $14.8 billion raised for private equity investment in the Asia-Pacific region. Meanwhile, another $6.9 billion has been set aside for diversified investment across the South Asian region.
