AI Global Leader Nvidia Announces to Set up Infra Worth $500 billion in the United States

Global leader in artificial intelligence computing, Nvidia, has said on Monday that it will set up an infrastructure worth $500 billion in the United States during the next four years to manufacture AI chips, in collaboration with a few partners.

Nvidia Corporation is an American multinational corporation and technology company headquartered in Santa Clara, California, whose processors are mostly produced in Taiwan. Taiwan has been placed on a 45 per cent tariff by U.S. President Donald Trump.

Growing use of AI in various sectors has increased the demand for AI chips world-wide, and Nvidia Corporation being a U.S. company, its latest decision is expected to push Trump’s call for manufacturing in the United States.

In the recent past, some tech-giants including Apple that does the assembling for most of its iPhones in China too, has announced to invest in setting up a plant in the United States.
