Ukraine officials on Tuesday visited Washington and asked for the support of the United States, emboldened with their latest success in the war with Russia.
On Sunday, Ukraine with its smuggled drones had attacked Russian warplanes reportedly destroying 40 of them at various military bases of Russia. Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelensky claimed that his men had used 117 drones in the operation that was code-named "Spider's Web". The warplanes that were attacked, were strategic cruise missile careers.
Ukraine further claimed to have hit with explosives a bridge that linked road and rail network between Russia and Crimea. Ukraine continued to attack Russia with drones damaging electric substations which has left over 700,000 people without power.
The peace talks between Russia and Ukraine which took place in Istanbul too ended without any substantial outcome.
The latest outcomes of the war between the two warring nations have minimized the peace possibility even as Ukraine now seeks support of the U.S. in the war.
