Israel Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Monday said that there was nowhere in the Middle-East which is beyond the reach of Israel and Israel will go to any extent to protect its people. The statement of Netanyahu was directed at Iran, which is backing Hezbollah.

"There is nowhere in the Middle East Israel cannot reach. There is nowhere we will not go to protect our people and protect our country," news agency Reuters wrote, quoting Netanyahu.

A few days back, Israeli airstrikes in Lebanon capital Beirut had killed Hezbollah chief Hassan Nasrallah. The assassination of Nasrallah was a deadly blow not just to Hezbollah but to Islamic countries as well, as he was the key figure in the fight against Israel.

Israel in the past days has carried out targeted airstrikes that have eliminated many top leaders of Hezbollah as well as Hamas who led war against Israel. However, Netanyahu’s statement on Monday indicated possible land invasion against Lebanon.
