Ukraine on Tuesday marked the 1,000 days of war against Russia since the war went full-fledged with Russian invasion, even as it today struck deep into Russian territory reportedly using U.S. missile ATACMS for the first time.

According to media reports, Kyiv struck a Russian arsenal near the town of Karachev in the Bryansk region, over 70 miles from Ukraine.

U.S. President Joe Biden had allowed Kyiv to use the U.S. made long-range missile to strike deep into Russian territory, yesterday.

Meanwhile, in a warning to the U.S. and the West, Russian President Vladimir Putin on Tuesday cleared a new nuclear policy for the nation. Under this new policy that has now received the approval of the president, the President of Russia can order a nuclear attack in response to a broader range of conventional attacks on Russia or ally Belarus that "create a critical threat to their sovereignty and (or) their territorial integrity", according to reports of news organisations.

Russia has been maintaining that if Washington allowed Ukraine to fire U.S., British and French missiles deep into Russia, then Moscow would consider those NATO members to be directly involved in the war in Ukraine.
